In Domfah we believe it is only through education that children can achieve their full potential, by helping themselves, their families and their own community they can assure Africa and Liberia’s progress.
- As part of the social non-profit efforts of DAPI, we are committed to sponsor the school to allow the children to reach its full potential in the future.
- To provide excellent care and education that will improve the community’s living conditions in the present and future.
- To support growth and development of a population in need through education and preparation of its people.
Our History
The school was founded in 2012, as a personal initiative of the organization after realizing the conditions and needs of the community in regards to local children development and education.
Domfah then made a strong commitment to the local population of Johnsonville by building and supporting what it is today the only school in the New life community at the outskirts of Monrovia center city, Liberia.
In September 2013 the Domfah academy opened its doors to more than 280 kids from all backgrounds of the local community, from basic elementary up to the ninth grade the school has made a radical difference in their quality of life, by providing the opportunity of basic education and skills development in a safe and adequate environment.
Where are we going ?
Our main goal is to continue sponsoring this initiative by expanding and upgrading the level of education of both children and the teaching staff.
We intend to extend the classes to 12th grade level in 2015.
In order to make this happen we are seeking to partner with organizations that will allow the program to reach a higher number of community members and expand properly by fitting their efforts with the community needs.
It is only through these efforts that we can ensure the maintenance of children’s basic living conditions and development in this area of Johnsonville.
